Physical

The good life begins with good health.

At The Sharon at SouthPark, we encourage residents to embrace all that leads to fitness in all aspects of life: Physical activity, healthy diet, adequate sleep, managing stress, not smoking, limiting alcohol intake, keeping up with medical appointments and medicines, and joining in programs with others that lead to strong social connections.

In this culture of wellness, opportunities abound.

Our indoor heated pool with men’s and women’s locker rooms and private showers offers the chance to swim alone or join in an aquatics class. The fitness center offers cardio and strength equipment so you can go at your own pace. You can also benefit from a personal trainer if you so choose. Highly trained instructors lead cardio, balance and strength training classes. Interested in Zumba, tai chi, yoga, circuit training, line dancing or water aerobics? Go for it.

A unique program offers each resident a free Vitality Discovery Assessment to help identify physical strengths and weaknesses and design a program for you. These assessments are done for new residents. Residents already here are reevaluated each year for strength, flexibility, cardio, agility and balance.

Remember, walking at your own pace is one of the best exercises at any age. Our wooded campus and trails are perfect for that. Enjoy a solo walk, or with a loved one, friend or leashed pet.

If you’ve pushed yourself a tad too hard, not to worry. We offer a new private massage therapy space and on-site medical services.
