The Sharon at SouthPark’s culinary team services won the National Foodservice Education Foundation’s (NFEF) 2023 Department of the Year Award. This highly coveted award officially honors a culinary team “for innovative practices or excellence in foodservice management.” Read more about it on our blog.

The Excellence in Community Service Award was presented to The Sharon at SouthPark (nee Sharon Towers) by LeadingAge North Carolina. The theme of the association’s Annual Conference and Expo – “The Greater Good” – spoke to the work for which we were recognized. Read more about it on our blog.

Our former President & CEO Anne Moffat was the well-deserved recipient of the 2022 Career Excellence Award for Lifetime Achievement from LeadingAge North Carolina. She served The Sharon at SouthPark (nee Sharon Towers) for over 20 years, beginning as Director of Nursing, and moving on to Nursing Home Administrator, Assistant Executive Director, and finally CEO.

Nurse Brandon Knowles was honored by Centralina Area Agency on Aging for “outstanding achievement as a Mecklenburg County nursing home employee.” Brandon and four others from around the county were chosen. The award is it in its third year, inspired by the pandemic and need to affirm those who go above the call of duty. Read more about it on our blog

International Council on Active Aging and NuStep honored The Sharon at SouthPark (nee Sharon Towers) with a Beacon Award for “Best In Wellness” as one of 25 communities that fosters a wellness culture and an environment that supports wellness for all who live and work there.
