What’s an Admissions and Social Service Manager?
Our Admissions and Social Service Manager serves as a liaison between the local hospitals and our campus. In other words, Sarah assists people transitioning to Sharon Towers from hospital care. Simply put, “I help people get back to their home environment, whatever that may be, safe and sound with all the resources they need both in the facility and when they get home,” Sarah says.
Besides both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social service, Sarah’s has 13 years of experience in this field. Although her studies focused on family therapy, Sarah has been working with the aging population since she was in school. because this is where Sarah’s passion lies.
A Winning Personality for Social Service
Despite her outstanding qualifications, Sarah’s greatest gift is her positive spirit. “My personality is welcoming, uplifting and happy,” Sarah says. “I want to bring that energy to folks that are coming over to us who might not be in the best spirits. That’s what I always love to be able to do.” She says the best part of the job is giving someone a glimpse of hope, happiness or positivity. “Or even just smiling at them, and maybe that helps them wherever they are that day,” she adds.
Although Sarah hails from New York originally, she says she is never going back. Because Charlotte suits her. Sharon Towers is also an excellent fit for her. This is because our community allows Sarah to feed her passion while bringing happiness and comfort to others.
“I just want to bring really good positive energy and good vibes to people that have been in the hospital for a little bit and just need a little pick me up,” Sarah concludes. “I want to be a breath of fresh air.”
Please join us in welcoming Sarah to Sharon Towers. If you see her on the campus, be sure to give her a warm welcome.
