Recently, The Sharon at SouthPark was recognized by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) for “outstanding infection prevention and vaccine practices” during the pandemic. The Sharon at SouthPark was one of only 19 of the over 2,300 long-term care facilities in the state to be recognized in this manner.
According to the letter from Caroline Colburn at NCDHHS, “Excellence was defined as identification of no or few infection prevention gaps, no or few cases of COVID throughout the pandemic, and/or vaccination of all residents and staff.”
We are very proud of Chanel Jenkins and the entire team at The Sharon at SouthPark who have worked so hard to provide excellent care and uphold the highest infection standards. Thank you to the staff, residents and families who have worked together so well throughout the pandemic.
