The Sharon at SouthPark is proud to announce the graduation of Elizabeth Byrd, our vice president of health services, from the prestigious Larry Minnix LeadingAge Leadership Academy. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in Elizabeth’s professional development and signifies her unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and staff.
The National LeadingAge Leadership Academy distinguishes itself by fostering authentic leadership in aging services professionals. Unlike traditional leadership programs, the Academy doesn’t concentrate on generic skillsets and career paths, focusing instead on individual growth and self-discovery. Through a year-long curriculum rooted in reflective practice, participants like Elizabeth uncover their unique leadership strengths and learn to leverage them for maximum impact.
Elizabeth’s dedication to this transformative journey was evident in her exceptional Action Learning Project, presented at the recent National LeadingAge conference in Chicago. This project, a culmination of her year-long learning, demonstrated not only her sharpened leadership skills but also her deep commitment to improving the lives of residents and staff.
President and CEO Angela Rigsbee says, “At The Sharon at SouthPark, we recognize Elizabeth’s graduation as more than just a personal achievement. It represents a strategic investment in the future of our community. Her refined leadership skills will undoubtedly benefit our residents, their families and our staff. We’re very proud of her!”
Congratulations, Elizabeth! We celebrate your success and eagerly await the positive impact your leadership will have on The Sharon at SouthPark.
